Those FUSO frames sure looked good in red.
Dave, Every one a "jewel in the crown" that you wear with honour and pride. Did you ever build one, that you where not 100% pleased with?
Thank you Dave , excellent post !
Hi Dave,
I am a owner of No.856 Fuso since 2010. I am really happy I own your bike.
Greetings fellow two-wheel dreamers and, of course, especially owners of one (or more) of Mr.. Moulton's gorgeous creations. (I wish I could have one in every color!) What I have at this moment is a blue, FR1 Fuso frame without a fork. Be sure, I did not buy it without a fork. Long story short: Our house was built badly. We needed to raise the basement floor because the dumbass builder placed the basement floor BELOW the water line! We did something like the "right thing" and had it fixed. It cost a LOT. And when it was done and all the contractors had faded into the gloam, the fork to this otherwise gorgeous frame had disappeared. Finally, after moving too many times and having unpacked everything I own multiple times, I know, for sure, the fork to this frame is...just...gone. My question is simple: Does anyone know of an off the shelf fork that might be a worthy replacement for the original. I don't expect it to have the wonderful paint job the frame has. I just want it to sync and perform reasonably well with this frame's geometry. Here are the frame's measurements: top tube = 61.5cm, seat tube = 61.5cm, down tube = 63cm, chain stays = 43cm. I measure the head tube at 71 or 72 degrees. Seat tube appears the same. My ability to measure angles is a bit soft, as I did it digitally with my phone, and holding the thing still is no easy matter at this point., So, there it is. What would anyone recommend regarding a suitable replacement fork for what appears to be an FR1 with fairly relaxed geometry? Thanks in advaance--and good luck to you, Dave Moulton, both in finding an heir to adopt your excellent blog and toward enjoying your remaining time on the planet. All the best--Dr. Johnny
